STOCKTON, Calif. - A 16-year-old robbery victim made a bold move to try to recover his stolen property from two men trying to flee the scene of the crime Monday night, said police.

According to Stockton police reports, the teen was walking home in the area of E. Main St. and Alma St. around 7 p.m. when a car pulled up next to him and a man got out. The man grabbed the teen's phone, then ran back into the car with the victim in pursuit.

The suspected robber got into the car which fled, but the teen was able to hold on to the moving vehicle by an open window. The alleged victim was eventually forced to let go in the area of E. Main St. and S. Filbert St. when he felt pain in his feet, said police.

The suspected robber and his getaway driver were then able to escape. They were both described as Hispanic men, approximately 30 years old, said police.

No injuries were reported to the teen.
