49es fans jammed into Sacramento restaurants Sunday to cheer on their team.

SACRAMENTO - Large crowds of fans packed local establishments in Sacramento to watch the San Francisco 49ers take on the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC title game Sunday.

Even at the start of the game, Midtown's Uncle Vito's pizzeria was a 'sea of red' with fans decked out in 49ers gear, as well as some other interesting attire.

"I started growing my beard right after we lost the Super Bowl last year," said Josh of Sacramento.

The red fever translated to a lot of green for businesses. "It's a great thing for business. It's a lot of fun to be in here, a lot of energy," said Emily Sanchez with Firestone Public House. The restaurant was standing room only as hundreds crowded around TV monitors to watch the game.

"We've been pretty busy. We've been on an indefinite wait since 10:30 this morning, so we're not putting a wait time all day," said Sanchez.

The excitement even spilled onto the patio where both 49ers and Seahawks fans were rooting for their respective teams "It's always going to be a sea of red but we got to support our team, wherever we go," said one Seahawks fan.

The intensity only grew at Club House 56 in East Sacramento as the game was coming down to the wire.

"For restaurants, sports fans around the country, this is the biggest day of the year for the establishments," said Bobby Griffith, owner of Club House 56.

While it was a close game, the Seahawks pulled off the victory in the end, leaving Niners fans disappointed.
