Video game 'NASCAR 14' is published by Deep Silver.
The next official NASCAR video game, NASCAR '14, will be released by Saints Row publisher Deep Silver.
"NASCAR is a hugely popular sport, second only to the NFL in TV ratings with licensed games having been published by Activision in recent years," explained Deep Silver Inc. COO, Geoff Mulligan. "Deep Silver is thrilled to have acquired the publishing rights to NASCAR '14 and looks forward to cultivating a long-term relationship with both the fans and the franchise."
Developed by Eutechnyx, the game features "NASCAR Highlights" to determine the outcome of the biggest race thrills from the season. It will also have official NASCAR teams and tracks, leagues, online multiplayer, and a career mode in which players work through the ranks complete with custom car builds, sponsor acquisition, and the R&D necessary to get into victory lane.
Deep Silver is allowing NASCAR fans to influence which driver will appear on the game's official box art. Each week, race fans can vote by visiting www.driveforthecover.com to decide which drivers advance and which do not in a competition to grace the cover of NASCAR '14. "Drive for the Cover" will run through the end of the 2013 Sprint Cup season and be updated weekly with the winning drivers facing off against each other in brand new matchups. The fan-chosen winner will be announced in early December during NASCAR Champion's Week in Las Vegas, with the official unveil of the game's new packaging.
Launching in early 2014, NASCAR '14 is in development for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. There is currently no ESRB age rating information for this title.
