CORRECTION May 16: The location of the fire is a recycling plant. A sentence in an earlier version of this story misidentifying it as an asphalt plant has been deleted.

SACRAMENTO, CA - Firefighters battled flames at a recycling plant in south Sacramento late Wednesday night.

Sacramento fire crews responded to the Sierra Waste Recycling and Transfer Station at Florin and Power Inn roads after a large pile of debris caught fire just before 10:30 p.m.

Firefighters eventually got the upper hand on the fire early Thursday morning, with most of the burn being contained by 6 a.m.
