Video game 'Metro 2033' from THQ.
Before next year's release of the atmospheric first-person shooter, Metro: Last Light, THQ is giving gamers a chance to play the first game of the franchise, Metro 2033, for free.
Starting Tuesday, December 11, and continuing through Sunday, December 16, THQ will offer a free digital PC copy of Metro 2033 via Steam to each community member of the Metro Facebook page (while quantities last).
Set beneath the ruins of post-apocalyptic Moscow, in the tunnels of the metro, players take control of Artyom as he holds on for survival, battling mutants and other remnants of mankind in the catacombs beneath the desolate surface and on the poisonous outside world. With station-cities of the metro locked in a struggle for the ultimate power, a doomsday device from the military vaults of D6, players must prevent a civil war that could wipe humanity from the face of the earth forever in the sequel to the cult-classic Metro 2033.
The ESRB has rated both Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light as "M for Mature".
