Nintendo's Satoru Iwata and Reggie Fils-Aime use Wii U Chat.

In a video released through Nintendo Direct, Nintendo President Satoru Iwata and Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime get to grips with new Wii U software - Wii U Chat.

Initially introduced at E3, the Wii U's chat software allows for video chat communications.  The software comes pre-installed on the Wii U console.

During video chat, chat subjects can be manipulated with via the Wii U GamePad.  This is because the software allows users to write or draw on-screen through the GamePad.  Conversations are by default viewed on the television screen, though users can choose to communicate solely through the GamePad itself.

The Wii U Chat software does not have to be running in order to receive a video chat request.

Coming out on November 18, Nintendo is releasing two versions of the Wii U video game console.  The standard Wii U system retails for $299.99 and comes with the white Wii U console with an 8GB HDD, a Wii U GamePad controller, an HDMI Cable, Sensor Bar, and 2 AC Adaptors (one each for the console and GamePad).  The deluxe system retails for $349.99 and comes with a black 32GB version of the console, all off the aforementioned accessories and plugs, a Wii U GamePad cradle, a Wii U console vertical stand, and the Nintendo Land video game.
