It's been eight years since the last RollerCoaster Tycoon game, RollerCoaster Tycoon 3, initially hit retailers.  Now, thanks to Atari, gamers can once again enjoy the thrill of creating their own roller-coasters and amusement parks with the release of RollerCoaster Tycoon 3D for the Nintendo 3DS.

The new game marks the first time the RollerCoaster Tycoon franchise is playable on a non-PC platform.  RollerCoaster Tycoon 3D features the same addictive blend of simulation and creativity found in Chris Sawyer's original RollerCoaster Tycoon, only this time it's in glasses-free 3D.

Developed by n-Space, RollerCoaster Tycoon 3D recaptures the classic gameplay of the three original RollerCoaster Tycoonm, adding not only 3D, but also intuitive touch-screen interface and portable game sessions.  Just as players will be challenged to craft an enjoyable experience for their in-game customers, the look and feel of RollerCoaster Tycoon 3D has been designed to use the system's features for smooth gameplay, including 3D graphics, park exploration via gyro sensors, and coaster-sharing abilities via StreetPass.

RollerCoaster Tycoon 3D for the Nintendo 3DS is available now for $29.99 and has been rated "E for Everyone" by the ESRB.
