DUNNIGAN, CA - A man was found stabbed multiple times by his co-worker early Monday morning.
When Mark Cullen, 49, of Arbuckle, didn't show up to his midnight shift at Adams Vegetable Oils Inc., a co-worker called his cell phone to check up on him, Yolo County sheriff's Sgt. Lance Faille said.
Cullen was able to answer his phone and told his co-worker that he was on County Line Road and was dying. Faille said Cullen was found on the route he usually took to work by his co-worker.
Cullen suffered stab wounds to his upper body and head. Faille said his vehicle was missing from the scene, but was later found on County Road 99W, just south of County Line Road.
Cullen was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment; he is listed in critical condition.
The stabbing is being investigated as attempted homicide, Faille said.
Anyone with information on the stabbing is urged to call Yolo County Sheriff's Investigations Unit at 530-668-5212.
