2nd suspect sought for attack on Sonora man

SONORA, CA - Sonora police were still looking for one of two suspects who allegedly beat a local man, leaving him with a severe head injury.

Jonathan Douglas, 31, was found unconscious by officers on the 100 block of Colombia Way about 11:30 Sunday night, according to Chief of Police Mark Stinson. Douglas was taken by air ambulance to a Modesto hospital for care. His condition was unknown.

Witnesses said they didn't see any weapons used in the assault on Douglas. Stinson did not say what provoked the attack.

Arrested for felony battery resulting in serious bodily injury was Joshua Connell, 32, of Sonora.

At large is a second man, identified as Fredrick Rivette, 28, of Sonora. He was described as white, 6 feet tall, 170 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information on Rivette's whereabouts was asked to call the Sonora Police Department at (209) 532-8141.
