Deja vu: Big illegal pot crop found on same farm as last year

Large south Sacramento County marijuana crop raided, Sept. 17, 2012

SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA - An early morning raid yielded as many as 2,000 marijuana plants growing among rows of corn south of Elk Grove.

The illegal grow was spotted by state drug agents flying over the field on Point Pleasant Road east of Interstate 5. Another marijuana plot was found in the same location also at this time of the year, harvest time, last year.

Authorities detained 20 people in connection with the operation.
