SACRAMENTO- A man and his girlfriend were found shot to death inside a Natomas home Sunday morning.

Sacramento police were called to the home on the 2900 block of Holdrege Way at 8:42 a.m. by a family member concerned they had not heard from their relatives since Friday, said Sacramento police Officer Michelle Gigante.

Gigante said officers entered the home and found a man in his 30s and woman in her 20s dead from gunshot wounds.

Monday, Gigante said it appeared the man, identified as Grant Union High School assistant football coach Edward Coleman, 36, of Sacramento, shot Luv Catera Land, 28, of Sacramento, before turning the gun on himself.

The last time relatives heard from the couple was Friday night, Gigante said. Detectives think an argument between the couple escalated into the shooting.

The gun believed to be connected to the incident was recovered at the scene.
