PLACER COUNTY, CA - A Placer County man arrested in a gun and pot raid Thursday is believed to be associated with a "white power" criminal group for which he supplied the contraband, say authorities.
Sacramento and Placer County sheriff details served a search warrant at a home on the 10800 block of Browning Street where they recovered 118 firearms, many of which were stolen, and 520 marijuana plants, said Deputy Jason Ramos with the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department. The investigation was initiated by the Sacramento sheriff's anti-gang division that learned guns were possibly being sold from the home, Ramos said.
The man who lived at the home, Steven Thomas Goodell, 46, was arrested and booked into Placer County Jail on charges including unlawful use of a dangerous weapon during the commission of a felony, possession of stolen property, unlawful cultivation and possession of marijuana, criminal conspiracy and child endangerment, Ramos said.
Another man at the home, Cameron David Sorensen, 29, was arrested and booked on criminal conspiracy, possession of marijuana for sale, and unlawful cultivation of marijuana charges. He was also taken to Placer County Jail.
