SAN ARDO, CA - Authorities say another man may be traveling with a missing 16-year-old Monterey County teen believed to be abducted by her boyfriend.
Monterey County Sheriff's Department Commander Jerry Teeter says 21-year-old Rogelio Aviles could be traveling with Eunice Serrato and her alleged abductor, 19-year-old Juan Manual Salazar Jr. Teeter said Aviles is a friend of Salazar's with access to a Honda Civic they are believed to be driving to Mexico.
A statewide Amber Alert has been issued for Serrato.
According to the sheriff's office, deputies responded to a home Saturday night at 62240 Railroad Avenue in San Ardo after a homeowner discovered two dead males inside of the house.
The homeowner's Serrato was missing from the residence.
Serrato, was described as Hispanic, 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing 130 pounds. She was last seen wearing a blue and white shirt, pink jacket, blue jeans and sandals. She has various tattoos: "3/10/10" on her right middle finger, "love" on her back, "Vellen" on her upper right leg.
Salazar Jr. was described as Hispanic, 5 feet 8 inches, 150 pounds and possibly wearing glasses. He may have a gunshot wound and should be considered armed and dangerous, authorities said.
Salazar's father was considered a person of interest and presented himself to police for questioning Sunday night. Teeter said he was not taken into custody.
