RANCHO CORDOVA, CA - Sacramento County sheriff's detectives arrested a man Thursday they believe targeted half a dozen local businesses in the past month.

Robbed at gunpoint were the Chevron at 2358 Sunrise Boulevard on May 17; Subway restaurant at 3582 Mather Field Road on May 22; Liquor and Food at 10401 Folsom Boulevard on May 22; Wienerschnitzel restaurant at 11070 Coloma Road on May 29; Pizza Guys restaurant at 2351 Vehicle Drive on June 6; and CVS pharmacy at 3301 Zinfindal Drive on June 10.

In each case, said sheriff's spokesman Deputy Jason Ramos, the robber demanded cash of employees.

Detective work led to the identification of 19-year-old Xavier Lomba as a suspect in the crimes, said Ramos. He said investigators served a search warrant which led to evidence that further implicated Lomba.

Lomba, who is from Rancho Cordova, was booked into Sacramento County Jail on $100,000 bond.
