HEMET, CA (AP) - A Hemet High School teacher has pleaded guilty to having sex with a male student who said she seduced him because he resembled a star of the "Twilight" movies.
The Riverside Press-Enterprise reports 31-year-old Janel Pearl Ramirez pleaded guilty Thursday to two counts of oral copulation with a minor and sexual intercourse with a minor.
According to court documents, the then-16-year-old student said the popular English teacher kissed him the last day of his sophomore year after telling him he resembled "Twilight" star Taylor Lautner, then had sexual contact with him three times the following year.
The student transferred to a different school.
Ramirez, a married mother of two, was sentenced to five years' probation and 120 days of house arrest.
She resigned from her teaching position last week.
