SACRAMENTO, CA - All southbound lanes of Interstate 5 at Pocket Road were closed Wednesday morning due just after 3:00 am due to a crash involving two big rigs and two cars.

The crash was reported at 3:21 a.m. and reportedly involved a tanker truck, a hauler, a Honda and another vehicle of undisclosed description.
The driver of the big rigs received non life threatening injuries in the wreck.
The driver of the Honda was transported from the scene to hospital with major injuries, which California Highway Patrol officers on scene described as life threatening.
The driver of the fourth vehicle amazingly walked away from the crash unscathed.
No information was provided on the cause of the crash, but officers said the rain "certainly didn't help."
