ANTELOPE, CA - Times may be tough, but don't worry, kids, you can still have a pumpkin for Halloween if you can get over to the Antelope Christian Center between Noon and 4 p.m. on Saturday.

The Center calls the program, "Put a smile on the face of every child."

"Put a smile on the face of every child happened because, when we look in the community, we are very aware and sensitive of families that are hurting financially," Pastor Bill Clements said. "You may not be able to go to Disneyland or out of town, but you can come here absolutely free and have a wonderful time!"

The festivities include free hot dogs and soda pop, face painting, giant bounce houses, games, arts and crafts and hay rides.

The Antelope Christian Center has been doing this every year since 2002 and has given away some 200 tons of donated pumpkins. This weekend, they have 6 tons, or some 6,000, pumpkins to give away.

"It just melts my heart seeing these little guys coming out and having a fun family day," Antelope Christian Center's Carolyn Hewitt said.

The Antelope Christian Center is located at 4533 Antelope Road in Antelope.
