ROCKLIN, CA - A turkey and her five chicks faced some trouble Thursday night when the chicks fell into a storm drain.

A husband and wife leaving their job at 6200 Stanford Ranch Road saw the chicks come out of some bushed. When they got startled, three or four of the chicks fell down the drain.

The couple tried to get help, but when none was available they decided to pull the chicks out themselves.

The mother turkey and one of her chicks hid in the bushes as the couple worked to rescue the other babies.

The couple was able to rescue two of the chicks and take them to the mother turkey; however, one or two other chicks retreated into the storm drain and were out of reach.
