SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) -- The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is entering the California governor's race, airing an attack ad against Democratic gubernatorial candidate Jerry Brown.

The business group's TV ad echoes one of Republican Meg Whitman's key campaign themes -- recent job losses in California.

The ad began airing Monday in Los Angeles.

It cites a comment Brown, the state's attorney general, made in 2008 that he had 1,100 attorneys at the Department of Justice waiting to file lawsuits. The chamber's ad says California has one of the worst legal climates in the country, which is sending jobs and business out of the state.

The chamber last week released an attack ad against Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer, who faces Republican Carly Fiorina in November.
