Tyreke Evans became the latest rookie to average 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists per game.
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) -- The final home game of the season was not a complete loss for the Kings, who got to see rookie Tyreke Evans reach an exclusive milestone.
By scoring 24 points, Evans assured himself of joining Oscar Robertson, Michael Jordan and LeBron James as the only rookies in NBA history to average at least 20 points, five rebounds and five assists a game.
But Evans couldn't keep up with his former backcourt mate Martin, who shot 11 for 20 and made all 16 free throws he attempted. Trevor Ariza added 29 points, including two key 3-pointers down the stretch that helped ensure the Rockets (42-39) will finish with a winning record this season.
Kevin Martin scored 39 points in a triumphant return to Sacramento and the Houston Rockets beat the Kings 117-107 Monday night.
