OROVILLE, CA - A Butte County narcotics task force recovered more than 133 pounds of marijuana worth more than $1,200,000 in Oroville on Thursday, authorities say.
Officers also arrested Jacob Michael Maloney, 29, of Oroville for possession and sale of marijuana, according to Cmdr. Carl Sturdy. Maloney posted $30,000 bail before authorities added a third charge of manufacturing of a controlled substance, Sturdy said.
The pot was found at an Oroville storage facility and two locations on Outpost Road. Sturdy said there was also evidence hashish was being manufactured at the latter two properties.
The Butte Interagency Narcotics Task Force and Butte County Sheriff's Office Special Enforcement Unit served the search warrants.
More arrests were expected, Sturdy said.
