PATTERSON, CA - The three adults and 15-year-old boy who died in a two-car wreck in Patterson Tuesday evening were all from Patterson, the Stanislaus County coroner says. SLIDESHOW: Fatal Patterson crash

James D. Anderson, 49; his wife Emma Anderson, 44; and their son Andrew Anderson, 15, were in a green Ford SUV that broadsided a white Chevy Astro minivan that failed to stop at the intersection of Elm and Las Palmas avenues, according to the California Highway Patrol. The impact sent the SUV into a tree, pinning its occupants. The minivan driver, James Rowell, 40, also died at the scene.

A fourth person in the SUV, James Anderson, 24, was airlifted to Modesto's Doctors Medical Center where he remains in critical condition with a broken neck, says the hospital.

The CHP continues to investigate what happened. The crash was first reported at 6:16 p.m.
