FAIRFIELD, CA - Police in Fairfield are investigating several daytime residential burglaries.
Officers received a report of a residential burglary in the 2800 block of Shelter Hills Drive on Friday at about 2:10 p.m. The resident told police they returned home to discover property set next to the front door that had not been there before.
Arriving officers discovered evidence of a forced entry and set a perimeter around the home. Soon after, officers discovered a second home in the same block was also entered forcibly.
After officers searched the second home, police dispatch received a call about a possible residential burglary in the 200 block of Hillridge Drive, where a resident returned home to find forced entry to a side garage door. No suspects were located.
A home in the 2400 block of Wolf Glen Place also was burglarized, according to the Police Department.
Police are searching for information related to the burglaries. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest.
