SACRAMENTO, CA - Is Abraham Lincoln's birthday a holiday or not, and if it is a holiday, when is it observed? It depends.

Lincoln's birthday is officially on Friday, Feb. 12. But depending on the school district, some are observing Lincoln's birthday on Feb. 8, Feb. 12 or Feb. 15. Catholic schools, however, are not closing for Lincoln's birthday and instead are observing Presidents' Day.
