FAIRFIELD, CA - An early morning shooting left two men critically injured and at least one gunman on the loose Saturday, according to authorities.

Fairfield Police Sgt. Matt Bloesch said officers responded to shots fired on the 1400 block of Phoenix Drive around 3:20 a.m. Two men, ages 18 and 20, were found suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Bloesch said both men were transported by helicopter to a local hospital.

It is unclear how many gunmen were responsible for the shooting. Detectives said the incident appears to be gang related.
