SACRAMENTO - Two people killed in a solo-vehicle crash off northbound Highway 99 in Sacramento County Monday night were from Manteca.

The Sacramento County coroner identified the victims as Jill Turnacliff Media, 55, and Andrew James Meda, 52. It wasn't clear who was driving.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a silver sedan struck the center divide at the Mingo Road off-ramp and careened into trees, sparking a fire.

The impact split the car in two, the CHP said.

The crash was first reported at 6:43 p.m.

The CHP has not said what their investigators think caused the crash.
