STOCKTON, CA - A suspect wanted in a 2011 murder in Stockton was arrested Wednesday.
U.S. Marshals were conducting surveillance on the 600 block of Garfield Street in southwest Stockton Wednesday when they spotted suspect Michael Vega, according to a Stockton Police Department report. Stockton police and the San Joaquin County Gang Task Force were notified and officers with those agencies arrived to arrest the 20-year-old Vega for the fatal shooting of Jorge Angulo, 18, on Nov. 12, 2011.
Angulo was in a vehicle with friends on the 1500 block of So. Stanislaus St. when he was shot.
The motive for the shooting was unknown.
