2 Stockton men booked on weapon and child endangerment charges

STOCKTON, CA - A Stockton police community response team took a documented gang member and another man off the street Monday afternoon on weapon and child endangerment charges.

According to a Stockton Police Department news release, officers making a probation search at a home on the 1600 block of Gloria Drive recovered two loaded handguns in a drawer of a dresser in a children's playroom. They also seized numerous high-capacity gun magazines, ammunition, 5.62 grams of crystal methamphetamine, digital scales typically used for measuring drug amounts, narcotic packaging materials and $2,380 in cash.

Sergio Ayala Jr., 21, who police say is in a gang, was arrested and booked on weapons, narcotics, child endangerment and gang charges. James Grammar, aka James Aguilar, 23, was arrested and taken into custody on weapon and child endangerment charges.
