SACRAMENTO, CA - A man was shot and wounded outside a North Sacramento home Monday night.
Sacramento police responded to the 100 block of Stanford Avenue around 9:15 p.m. after a man allegedly shot his daughter's boyfriend, Officer Michele Gigante said.
The arrested man was later identified by police as Michael Dean Raner, 50.
Neighbors said they heard screams and then gun shots. They added that a homeless man witnessed the entire event.
The man said he was on a bike trail nearby and saw a white car waiting outside the home and saw shots being fired.
At the scene, police found the 41-year-old victim with a gunshot wound in the upper body lying on the porch. Gigante said the man was taken to the hospital were he remained in critical condition Tuesday.
