SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, CA - The San Joaquin County Sheriff's Department arrested three men a year after an Acampo woman was ambushed in her drive way and killed.

Alfonze Fitzhugh, 23, of Stockton, Carlos Hernandez, 26, of Lodi and Robert Antonio Barnes, 20, of Stockton were arrested after grand jury indictments were handed down Wednesday, said deputy Les Gracia.

Britani Coberly was killed and her boyfriend, Evan Karaway, was shot late Nov. 18, 2009 as they returned home from an Acampo fast food restaurant.

As the couple pulled into the driveway of their home on the 22400 block of North Highway 99, at least two gunmen ambushed them, shooting and killing Coberly, and injuring Karaway.

All three men were charged with murder, attempted murder, conspiracy, attempted robbery and weapons charges.

The suspects are being held at the San Joaquin County Jail.
