SACRAMENTO, CA - Sacramento Kings co-owners Joe and Gavin Maloof remain silent on the team's arena issue following reports linking the franchise to the Honda Center in Anaheim.
The Maloof family told News10, "We are focused on improving our basketball team each day therefore we will have no further comment on our arena situation at this time."
Last week, KFBK reported that Anaheim Ducks owner Henry Samueli offered the Maloffs $100 million as part of a proposal to move the Kings to Orange County. The money would pay for relocation fees and territorial rights.
In a one-sentence statement issued to News10 last Wednesday, the Maloof brothers said they "are looking at all options to ensure the longterm viability of this franchise."
If the Kings plan on moving, they have to notify the NBA in writing by March 1.
