SACRAMENTO - Over a hundred bloggers, Tweeters and social media gurus are gearing up for the 2nd annual HoliTweetup -- and this year the event is on a boat.

"Our end of the year SacTweetup Holiday Party is less than 24 hours away. This is the season for giving so we wanted to do something that mattered and give back to a great local cause," Alejandro Reyes, SacTweetUp founder said.

Reyes started SacTweetup just over a year ago. Each month, more and more people have been attending his monthly TweetUp that he calls a "networking meetup where you can socialize with other locals in a fun environment."

This month's Tweetup takes place on December 9 and SacTweetup has partnered with Hornblower Cruises. Keeping with the holiday spirit of giving, 100 percent of the proceeds will go to Hope Productions Foundation, an organization that provides support and training at no cost to Sacramento charities serving children and youth.

"This is going to be the biggest TweetUp we've ever had. We're capping the event off at 200 people," said Reyes. "We wanted to do it on a boat as it's something different and we haven't done a Tweetup like this before."

Tickets are $10 and attendees will enjoy a 2-hour cruise down the Sacramento River while mingling and sipping champagne.

There will also be a number of door prizes.

Tickets are still available and you don't have to Twitter to come and hang out with the group.
