Stockton police: 2 men stabbed outside house party

STOCKTON, CA - Police have arrested a man in connection to a stabbing Saturday night that left a man dead and another in a hospital, according to authorities.

The suspect, whose name has not been released, was arrested around 8:30 a.m. Sunday at an apartment complex on Rosemarie Lane, said Stockton police Sgt. Doug Anderson.

The fatal stabbing happened Saturday night outside of a house party on the 5300 block of Holiday Lane just before midnight, said Anderson.

Witnesses said two men were stabbed, one of them a 24-year-old Hispanic who died at the scene. His name has not been released pending next of kin notification.

Anderson said the second victim was taken to a nearby hospital where he was treated and released. 

Investigators said it's unclear if the victims and suspect were attending the party.
