SACRAMENTO - The California Highway Patrol says it has seized a "vehicle of interest" in connection to a fatal hit and run collision Sunday evening.

The victim was identified as 27-year-old Joseph Williams of Sacramento. CHP Officer Daniel Webb said on Sunday that the victim was apparently run over on Fruitridge Road east of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard at approximately 5:50 Sunday evening.

Officers recovered a bicycle in good condition in the slow lane they think may have belonged to Williams.

Later Sunday night, CHP Officer Michael Bradley said officers located a white vehicle apparently abandoned in the area. It had front-end damage.

No arrests have been made.
