SACRAMENTO - Don't expect a lot of your co-workers to be very productive December 2. Because although they're sitting at their desks appearing to be busy, some are likely harder at work cruising retailer websites looking for the best deals online.
The National Retail Federation says eight out of every ten retailers will offer special cyber Monday deals.
Rather than going from one site to the next, it's better to use just one that lists the best discounts all together. Sites like savings.com, pricegrabber.com and cybermonday2013.com corral deals from across the internet into one convenient location.
Also, the deep online discounts will go beyond just cyber Monday. Last year, more than $1 billion in retail revenue was generated online from Monday through Thursday.
So we may want to just start calling it cyber week. And even after the week is over, some deals will still remain. For example, jewelry in particular is marked down typically around December 15th.
