Huckaba's stepping up to help knock out distracted driving and says as a parent with a teen, it's very important to spread the word.
The mixed martial artist and five-time heavyweight champion is working with Genny Claxton from Empire Driving School for a Day of Safety event in Colfax Saturday at 9:30 a.m.
Claxton says distracted driving impacts everyone and has seen drivers of all ages texting while driving. She advises parents to get to know the rules of the road to best help their kids stay safe behind the wheel.

Huckaba's next bout in the World Series of Fighting is August 10th at the Citizens Arena in Ontario, California Huckaba was a student of Claxton's in the past as well.
