ROSEVILLE - Fire crews were able to contain a house fire that started Sunday afternoon.

Crews arrived to the 10300 block of Woodcreek Oaks Blvd to find a vacant home well involved in flames. Crews feared the fire would spread to surrounding brush and a wild life reserve. Fortunately, fire crews were able to get the fire contained before that occurred.

The home, a complete loss, was estimated to be 1200 square feet in size based on the foundation that remained.

Two juveniles that were located in the area are believed to be responsible for the fire. They were both taken into police custody.

The Fire Department tells News10 that as green as the brush is in the area they are fortunate the fire did not spread beyond the home.
