BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - A 52-year-old California man was arrested after he kicked a Baton Rouge, La., police officer in the face when the officer tried to put leg restraints on him.

The Advocate reports police booked Georgiy A. Tyannikov, of Sacramento, Calif., over the weekend with battery of a police officer, resisting an officer and disturbing the peace.

Police say the incident occurred when security from the Belle of Baton Rouge Casino threw Tyannikov out of the casino and he got into a disturbance with another person in the casino's parking lot.

Officers arrested Tyannikov and once they put him in the back seat of a patrol unit, he tried to kick out the rear window. When officers started to put leg restraints on him, he kicked one of them in the face.
