Three armed suspects busted into the Star of Siam restaurant at 6029 Greenback Lane Thursday night.

CITRUS HEIGHTS, CA - Customers enjoying their dinner at a Citrus Heights Thai restaurant were robbed at gun point Thursday night in what police are callling a takeover robbery.

Three armed suspects wearing ski masks went into the Star of Siam restaurant at 6029 Greenback Lane before 9 p.m. and ordered everyone to the ground, police said.

"There were families in there and at least two children and obviously, they were shaken up by the whole experience," Citrus Heights police officer Bryan Fritsch said.

Police said the men cleared out the cash register and took off with people's wallets and purses.

Police have a very limited description of the suspects because they all had masks on.

The robbery happened just a few feet away from a Taco Bell restaurant. There were no witnesses in the drive-thru at the time. Police said there's no surveillance video there either, but will be checking with surrounding businesses.
