TUOLUMNE COUNTY, Calif. -- Three people were arrested during a search for a wanted felon at a gentleman's club in Tuolumne County on Friday.
According to the Tuolumne County Sheriff's Office, deputies received information from Modesto police that a wanted man, known to carry weapons and wear body armor, was in inside Rosalinda's Gentlemen's Club in Jamestown.
Deputies arrived and placed the area under surveillance while SWAT formed a perimeter around the property.
Following several unsuccessful attempts over a loudspeaker to convince the individual to surrender, tear gas was deployed into the building. When nobody exited the club, a robot with a camera was sent inside, but the suspect was still not located.
An entry team finally went into the building and discovered the person of interest was no longer in the area. However, his companion and two other men were taken into custody during the raid.
Tanisha Flaherty, 29, of Modesto, who was traveling with the wanted man, was taken into custody.
Stephen Frederick, 37, of Oakdale was taken into custody for a parole violation.
Nicolet Schmidt, 28, was arrested on a charge of carrying a concealed firearm.
The individual originally sought in the incident remains at large.
