ELK GROVE, CA - Police search for a suspect involved in two bank robberies that happened on Thursday and Friday.
The first bank robbery took place on Thursday evening at the Schools Credit Union at 8255 Laguna Blvd. According to Elk Grove Officer Christopher Trim, the suspect approached the teller and handed out a note demanding money.
The teller handed the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash out of fear. Trim said the suspect then grabbed the money and fled the scene on foot. However, a witness saw the suspect drive off in a white Mazda 3 hatchback with custom rims.
The second robbery happened on Friday morning at Golden 1 Credit Union on the 9600 block of Bruceville Road. Trim said the latter robbery's details mirrored the former.
According to Trim, the suspect is described as a 5'6''Asian-American man around the age of 20-25 weighing approximately 190 pounds. The suspect was last seen wearing a Cincinnati Reds baseball cap, a gray hooded sweatshirt, jogging pants with white and black tennis shoes.
