UPDATE: Arrest made in south Stockton bystander shooting

STOCKTON, CA - Stockton Detectives arrested a suspect Friday night in the shooting death of Jennette Gaines Wednesday in south Stockton.

Gaines,56, was an innocent bystander in a gun fight between two rival gangs.The incident occurred in the area of Phelps Street and Ninth Street. One group was on the sidewalk and the other group was in an SUV.

Stockton Police Department Detectives developed information that Terrell Washington Black, 18, was involved in the murder, and they were looking for him.

According to the Stockton Police log, Stockton Officers made a traffic stop at Sixth St. and El Dorado St. Friday evening. Detectives interviewed and subsequently arrested Black for Wednesday's shooting and other gang-related charges.

Black was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail.
