Kings center DeMarcus Cousins having fun at Thursday's Media Day at Power Balance Pavilion
SACRAMENTO, CA - Kings second-year center DeMarcus Cousins brought his comedy A-game at Thursday's Media Day at Power Balance Pavilion.
Kings players roamed throughout the arena, donning their new black alternative jerseys.
Rookie guard Jimmer Fredette was in high demand as the the team's most prolific addition of the off-season from June's NBA Draft.
Owners Joe and Gavin Maloof were also on hand to give their impressions of the new-look team, but a lot of the focus shifted to the recent arena developments and the future of their Kings team in Sacramento.
"We're encouraged that something can be done," Gavin Maloof said. "Obviously we're leaving that up to (Sacramento mayor Kevin Johnson) and the city, and the NBA...we'll see what happens, but hopefully this is where we are."
Mayor Johnson will travel to New York on Friday, bringing along AEG's President Tim Leiwecke to deliver positive news of the Sacramento City Council passing the RFQ for arena parking revenue.
Later Thursday night, the team would treat their fans to a free open scrimmage and "Fan Fest."
