SACRAMENTO, CA - The Sacramento Kings have unveiled a brand new, alternate black jersey to debut for the 2011-12 regular season home opener on Dec. 26.
The black jersey will be featured for the Kings first ever, "blackout" game at the home opener versus the Los Angeles Lakers. Every fan in attendance will be given complimentary black T-shirts to commemorate the event.
"We are honored to bring the black jersey back to our fans. Craig Amazeen, Kings Senior Vice President of broadcasting, News Media and Brand Development. "[It] captures the epic feeling of what will be a defining season."
The black jerseys feature a retro word-mark on the front which pays homage to the past along with a modern side trim. The jersey was created to be reminiscent of the black jerseys from the late 90's into the early 2000's.
Fans who want to purchase one of these limited edition jerseys can check out the NBA store online for the holiday season.
