SACRAMENTO, CA - More than 2,000 people are expected to rally the State Capitol Wednesday to protest budget cuts that impact the disabled community.

The California Foundation for Independent Living Centers, the organizers of the event said the purpose of the Eighth Annual Disability Capitol Action Day is to mobilize and activate people with disabilities to be a part of policy decisions.

The group invited disability activists, community leaders, and legislators to participate in the 'Our Voices, Our Choice, Our Vote' rally.

After the march and rally, participants will meet with their local legislators and explain how proposed budget cuts will impact their ability to go to work, go to school, live independently, and participate in their communities.
