Video game developer Blizzard has released a new trailer for Diablo III on PlayStation 4, the next video game console from Sony coming out November 15.
In addition to gameplay akin to what current-gen PS3 owners and PC gamers will find familiar, Diablo III on PS4 will boast a handful of console-exclusive features. These include DualShock 4 touchpad controls and social options.
The touchpad will be used to manage a player's inventory and swap out character skills. Diablo III on PS4's social integration is highlighted by Blizzard's "Adventure Kills" system in which monsters that slay a player character can level up and teleport into another player's game stronger than before. If the monster is slain, both players get loot. If the monster kills another player, the cycle continues. Other social integration features include "Player Mail" allowing players to send items to one another and "Player Gifts" where Legendary-caliber loot can be automatically gifted to specific players.
Diablo III is rated "M for Mature" by the ESRB and is scheduled for release on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One next year.
