The Genius KB-G265 gaming computer keyboard.

Computer peripheral company Genius has released its KB-G265 gaming keyboard in North America.  An upgrade to its previously-available KB-G255 keyboard, this new one is made for PC gamers who want the features of a gaming keyboard without breaking the bank to pay for them.

The keyboard comes equipped with blue LED back-lit keys, 8 macro keys, and a pair of built-in USB ports.  It also features 20 anti-ghost keys and a 1000Hz polling rate, though website WASDKeyboards.com finds that these are no more than marketing buzzwords and are largely irrelevant in terms of computer keyboard features.

One thing that isn't largely irrelevant with the KB-G265 is the ability for users to disengage its Windows key, thus preventing an accidental launch of the Windows start menu while in-game.

Genius' KB-G255 gaming keyboard is being listed at $39.99 US.
