Sony's PlayStation 4 gaming console.
After Sony said earlier this year that the PlayStation 4 video game console will launch in late 2013, it has finally revealed its release date.
As announced during the Gamescom trade show in Germany Wednesday, the PS4 will will be in stores on Nov. 15 in U.S. and Canada, and on Nov. 29 in Europe and 10 countries in Latin America.
PlayStation 4 is Sony's next generation computer entertainment system. It promises to redefine rich and immersive gameplay with powerful graphics and speed, and deeply integrated social capabilities. It will also make use of Sony's PlayStation Vita handheld video game system to provide second-screen features.
Sony said that between launch day and the end of the year, there will be 33 new titles available for the console including Call of Duty: Ghosts and NBA 2K14.
PlayStation 4 will sell for $399 in North America.
