Video game peripheral distributer Innex shows that old school can be new again as it prepares to release its lineup of Hypermode wireless controllers for the Nintendo 64, original NES/SNES, and SEGA Genesis video game consoles.  Two of the controllers are also PC/Mac compatible.

The controllers, which are set to retail for roughly $30 each, work on a 2.4GHz frequency and are made to look like their original first-party counterparts.

The Nintendo 64 Hypermode controller, which releases this summer, will be available in four colors and runs off of three "AAA" batteries.  No word on how long the controller will run off a fresh set of batteries.

Retro gamers will be able to get their hands on the other two Hypermode controllers this autumn.  The NES/SNES Hypermode controller is made to resemble a modified Famicom controller, but with four right-hand buttons instead of two as well as twin shoulder buttons - both of which are for SNES games.  The SEGA Genesis Hypermode resembles a 6-button Genesis gamepad.  Both of these are also PC compatible and have built-in rechargeable batteries.

All three feature the ability for auto and turbo button inputs.
