'Dead Space 3' from Visceral Games and Electronic Arts.
Dead Space 3 Awakened, the epilogue to Electronic Arts' Visceral Games-developed sci fi horror game Dead Space, is now available for download for PS3, Xbox 360, and PC gamers.
Game producer John Calhoun says this next chapter brings the intensity of the horror to new psychological heights.
"It's all about taking Dead Space 3 back to its horror roots for those core fans of ours who liked that experience," he said.
In Dead Space 3 Awakened, Isaac and John Carver face a daunting new journey - get off of Tau Volantis, repair the Terra Nova, and get back to Earth.
"It takes place on the planet's surface as well as in the lost floatilla and some new environments, places that you've seen before but with a new twist on them." Calhoun explained. "It [also] includes new enemies and, most importantly, it has a really deep focus on a really deep focus on horror atmosphere and demensia -- not just for John Carver; but also for Issac Clark, the protagonist."
While the term 'epilogue' suggests that Awakened will be the only DLC expansion for Dead Space 3, Calhoun stopped short of confirming that to be the case, stating "Just because it's an epilogue doesn't mean it's the end, but there's nothing to say at this time."
Dead Space 3 Awakened available for download for PS3 via PlayStation Network and EA's Origin service for PC for $9.99, as well as via Xbox LIVE Marketplace for Xbox 360 with a list price of 800 MS Points.
